Join us this Wednesday, June 7th at 6:30 p.m. at PCCR in Fellowship Hall for a program “Building relationships and understanding across borders”.  The event will start with a meal of tacos and beverages.  Rev. Mark Adams and Miriam Maldonado Escobar, a married couple serving with Presbyterian World Mission, will share their experiences of working in a binational partnership on the U.S./Mexico border. 

Next Sunday, June  11th, “Just Coffee” will be available for sale in the Narthex.  Because so many people have asked for it, the Mission & Outreach Committee will be selling “Just Coffee” on the 2nd Sunday of each month.  The cost per pound is $11 for ground or beans; Arabica or Robusta or $12 for any Decaf variety.

The 2nd 2020 Foundation Event will be next Sunday, June 11th following worship.  50’s attire is recommended, but not required.  Plan to join the food, entertainment, and fun.  The Hospitality Committee has been working for months to make it memorable and successful! 

The Journeys Class meets Sunday mornings in the church library.  They gather at 8:15 a.m. and  begin the class at 8:30 a.m.  The program on June 11th will be on The Parables presented by Dr.  Kenneth Bailey.  This class will be on “The Prodigal Son” (the second of two classes on this parable).     The class strives to create an environment where participants can interact with one another in exploring what’s next for Christianity.  ALL ARE WELCOME! 

Vacation Bible School will be June 12-14 from 9:00 a.m.-Noon.  There is a sign-up sheet on the bulletin board in the Narthex if you can help.  This year’s theme is “Branching Out:  Connecting through Christ”.  The program is open to children entering 1st through 6th grades.

The Morning Prayer Service from 8:00-8:30 a.m. began this morning and will continue every Sunday through August.  It is in addition to the regular Sunday Worship at 10:00 a.m.

March News

The Adult Sunday School class Parables Bible Study will meet in the Lounge at 8:30 a.m. Sunday mornings. A repeat session will be on Mondays at 10 a.m. if that day works better in your schedule. The lesson on March 26th and 27th is ‘The Great Banquet”Luke 14:15-24. We won’t have a lesson on April 2nd or 3rd, however the lesson on April 9th and 10th will be “The Sower & the Two Builders” – Luke 8:4-15 & Luke 6:46-49. The study, “A Middle Eastern Cultural View”, is a 15 session DVD course narrated by the Reverend Dr. Kenneth Bailey. Each segment is 30 minutes long. Denise and Pastor Michael Moore will be co-facilitating. It has been well received and everyone is welcome to attend.

The next Lenten Service will be March 29th at 5:30 pm. The Lenten Services will be on every Wednesday through April 5th at 5:30 pm. Please join us!
