Call to Worship                                                             “God With Us”

In this sanctuary of stone and light, God is present.

In this place of worship and service, Christ is living.

In this time for prayer and praise, the Spirit is calling:

“Know that the Lord Almighty is God!”

Christ is here among us.  Let us prepare to worship God.

Prelude                                   “Minuet”                              Mal Walker

®Affirmation of Faith                                                            Psalm 46

God is our refuge and strength

– an ever present help in trouble –

so we will not fear even though the

 foundations of life tremble.

There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God - - the sacred place where the Most Holy One dwells. God is with God’s people to help them from the break of day and even through the darkness of night.  Nations may be in uproar and kingdoms may continue to fall … but the Lord Almighty is with us!  Be still and know that the Lord is God.  The Holy One among us will be exalted.

Morning Prayer                                     God’s Family Prays Together

We have come, Most Holy One, searching for sacred ground on which to find you.  Be with those loved ones and friends who are on shaky ground.  Thank you for those – who throughout our lives – willingly gave so that we could have the necessities and the niceties of life.  Help us live in such a way that others see and experience your love in us.  In Jesus’ name we pray.  Amen.
